Improving Indoor Air Quality With UV Light-

imageHow a HVAC UV Light Can Improve Indoor Air Quality?

The 1903 Nobel Prize for Medicine was awarded to Niels Finsen for his use of UV against lupus vulgaris, tuberculosis of the skin. Microorganisms have less protection from UV and cannot survive prolonged exposure to it.

Evaporator Coil Sterilization With UV Light– A UV light installed inside the return air duct sterilizes the air handler evaporator coil and drain pan. A coil sterilization UV light runs 24/7. Bulbs are usually rated for 9000 hours and should be replaced once a year during your annual HVAC maintenance.

Benefits Of UV Light Include The Following:

Maintain a cleaner coil, improving cooling efficiency and reducing electricity costs.

Control Bacteria and Mold.

You can kill common germs that cause colds and flu because germs are not recirculated by the HVAC system.

HVAC installed UV Light will reduce smells and odors.

UV Light is more effective in humid climates than dry climates.
UV Light helps prevent clogging in condensate drain lines by preventing algae growth and keeps the evaporator coil clean.

You and your family can breathe cleaner air, reduce allergies and help prevent the common cold by having a UV light installed. Call Argo Air Inc. for pricing and more information @ 205-365-6827
